Passengers may be asked to submit to a PCR test upon arrival in Dubai and self-quarantine. They receive a negative result due to the random spot-checking policy in place. If a passenger tests positive for Covid-19, they must abide by the Dubai Health Authority’s instructions.

Travel requirements for UAE citizens

United Arab Emirates nationals who are at least 18 years old can travel as of April 19, 2022, provided they satisfy one of the following conditions:

a month has not passed between the date of the vaccination and the date of travel after 

receiving one dose of an approved vaccine;

or completed two doses of a vaccine that is approved; 

or Present a reliable negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result if unvaccinated.

 An authorized health service provider must release the test result within 48 hours of the sample collection and the time the aircraft is boarded. The test result must also have a QR code.

The following situations, however, exempt UAE citizens from the aforementioned travel restrictions:

medically unable to receive the vaccination or

travel is necessary for humanitarian purposes or

traveling to receive medical care.

Changes and updates to Dubai’s travel restrictions
